Draft marine debris and litter study for Oregon
Section 26a of Oregon's Plastic Pollution and Recycling Modernization Act (2021 c.681 §26a) requires the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) to complete a marine debris and litter study. This assessment is the evidence base for DEQ's report to the Oregon Legislature, due September 15, 2026, and for the policy development that follows from it.
